Lucky Star classes provide 60 minutes of fitness and fundamentalson all events for school age beginners. Gymnastics includes stunts and tumbling and apparatus fundamentals on the trampoline, balance beam, bars, and vault. Our certified professionals help your children build basic skills, coordination, strength, and confidence.
Lucky Star 2 is a new classspecifically designed to provide a 90 minute beginner classes for children with gymnastics experience who are ready to handle a longer training session. This class is by invitation only.
Super Star class is a 90 minute intermediate class for recreational gymnasts which emphasizes skill development for more advanced skills and preparation for our 2 day programs. Along with conditioning skills and fun circuits on all the apparatus, our coaches provide instruction and motivation for drills, progressions, and sequences which build confidence and expertise.
Rhythmic Gymnastics is a traditional European sport for girls that became popular in America in the 1990’s. Our program is directed by Kamelia Velkova Dunlevy, a two time Bulgarian National Champion. Rhythmic is a great activity for gymnasts, dancers, and acrobatic students who would like to learn new skills including the hand apparatus which is part of the sport.
Girls will learn fundamentals with the ball, hoop, rope, clubs and ribbon. Gymnasts in this “cirque de soleil” sport will develop dance and acrobatic skills along with flexibility, musicality, and coordination. Rhythmic apparatus is best suited for girls with long limbs and natural flexibility. Decide which class will suit your needs and sign up today.
Lucky Star Gymnastic/Rhythmic Combo Class: This class is the best of both worlds. Try something new and fun and join us for 60 minutes of basics in tumbling, gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics.
Rhythmic Class: All about rhythmic gymnastics. Basics skills in dance, acro and hand apparatus for the beginner student.
Tumbling is a great activity for gymnasts, dancers, cheerleaders and urban gymnastics. Classes are under the direction of Dana Thomas, Jamie Stark, and their staff. Look through our schedule and choose a class that fits your needs and sign up today. Classes are grade specific.
Tumbling / Back Handspring Clinic: This class is perfect for cheerleaders, dancers or gymnasts who want to improve their tumbling skills, especially back hand springs and flips. All classes include use of the spring floor, rod floor, incline mats, trampolines, tumble trac, and foam pits.
Level 1 is a 60 minute class for beginners with no back handspring. When making your selection, please note that the classes are divided by age groups.
Level 1 Plus is a new class for beginners who can handle an extra 30 minutes. You must be recommended to take part in this 90 minute class.
Level 2 is a 90 minutes for tumblers who can already do a round-off back handspring.
“JETS” Cheer Performance Team is a great preparation for girls who want to try out for an all-star squad or school squad. In this class girls will learn jumps, motion and dance combinations for a routine that will be performed for events here at the gym. Coach Jamie directs this 2 day Cheer Performance team. Choose any tumbling class and then come to squad practice on Friday to work with your team. Uniform is required. Ages 6 and up are welcome.
Recreation Team for Boys and Girls Focus on Routines and Competition
Jewel Team: A 2 or 3 day a week team program for girls. Gymnasts focus on basic routines & conditioning for the new USAG Excel program. This program is perfect for any child who loves gymnastics and is ready for a team experience. Our recreation team mixes fun with competition. Emeralds and Rubies work on physical conditioning and train sequences and routines that fulfill the requirements for the beginner prep optional Excel program. These girls compete in our Holiday Performance and our Spring Fling meet.
Diamonds and Sapphires train three days a week and compete in the USAG Excel program. The Excel program has 4 USAG levels for competition (Bronze, Gold, Platinum and Diamond). Excel competition is also a perfect complement for WPIAL Gymnastics. Gymnast must join the USAG and will compete locally to qualify for the PA State Championships. T and T, as tumbling and trampoline is called, is a great activity for gymnasts, dancers, cheerleaders and urban gymnastics. In the T and T class students will learn proper use of the apparatus, safety rules and technique on trampoline, tumbling and double mini-tramp.Our T and T Connor. Both of these former gymnasts coached our 2014 Northstars to the USAG Jr. T and T Olympic National Championships. Coach Steve runs Tricks and Tramp. T and T 60 minutes: This is a beginner class for bouncers who want to learn the fundmentals of this Olympic sport. Boys or girls ages 6 to 10 may sign up for this class.
T and T advanced beginner 90 minute class: This class is a USAG prep class for experienced bouncers who want to learn more advanced skills, combination routines or tryout for our T and T team.
Tricks and Tramp: Formerly we offered parkour for older boys. As younger boys wanted to give it a try, we developed this class to teach progressions for skills on tumbling and trampoline, vault and bars.
Some circles call this urban gymnastics. The 60 minute class is for 8-14 boys and girls to learn risk awareness and safety while they learn skills which involve height, motion, gravity and spatial awareness.
